ABOUT SOPHIA

Sophia is a national organisation, who has been supporting people as
they emerge from homelessness since *.

Sophia is a niche service provider for two reasons; Firstly, it sees
the provision of home of one’s own as the primary response to
homelessness and the intervention that Sophia is exclusively focused
on. Secondly as an Approved Housing Body, its core mission is to
provide homes for individuals, couples and families who not only need
a home but also present with other support needs.

Sophia recognises that homelessness can have a traumatic impact on
people and that services need to be designed and delivered in a trauma
informed way.

SOPHIA HOUSING IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

PART TIME PROJECT WORKER (SHIFT)

LOCATION: Sophia Housing, Douglas Street, Cork

REPORTING TO: Project Manager

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: 

* hours per week Monday to Sunday. Mon-Fri
between the hours of 3pm-9pm and Sat-Sun between the hours of **Apply

JOB PURPOSE

To provide an efficient and high quality service in our Cork Project.
The successful candidate will work on a daily basis with families and
individuals coming from homelessness. He/she will manage a caseload in
a busy project, key work individuals, carry out assessments and care
plans and regularly liaise with other agencies/authorities on behalf
of the service users.

PART TIME CARE WORKER

LOCATION: Sophia Housing, Tallaght, Dublin *

REPORTING TO: Project Manager

CONTRACT: Fixed term – * months

HOURS: * hours per week (Hours flexible and can
be agreed with the successful candidate – Project open 9am-5pm
Monday - Friday)

JOB PURPOSE

The successful candidate will work on a daily basis with one family
coming from homelessness who have complex needs. The duties and
responsibilities are unique and varied because the people we support
all have unique needs. The successful candidate will work alongside a
Project Worker to support the family and MUST HAVE LEVEL 5 HCA QQI
CARE SKILLS AND/OR LEVEL 5 QQI CARE OF THE ELDERLY.

Whilst this can be a very diverse role, the key focus is always on
supporting a person to lead a fulfilling and more independent life.
